a fun week!

It's not very often the McGuire's have anything too interesting going on during the week. Well, I'm sure Mike's weeks are interesting but our here back home tend to hectic bit dull. On Tuesday some ladies (and one man) and I from the Brigade were able to tour NORAD which is located within a 10 minute drive of my house. It was pretty interesting..well..what I paid attention to. It was amazing to be standing in the middle of a mountain at over 7,000 ft up. NORAD also hosts a "Santa Tracker" for those of you who did not know it. They track where Santa is in the world and your kids can even call and talk to a live "Elf" about when Santa will get to your home. Jack, Ian, and Sam loved it last year.

Baylee and I were also able to participate in a Brigade Run last Thursday and ran 4 miles with the rest of the men and women still here at Ft. Carson. There were 12 of us family members who ran together and it was a lot of fun. It was a cold morning but we warmed up once we got going. We have always been able to watch Mike run but this was our first to actually do one. It's not normally open to spouses but we're special:) Baylee wasn't too happy that she had to go to school right after but I got her a Whopper for breakfast...made it all better.

Lastly Jack's third grade class held a Roman Feast to celebrate the end of their study of Rome. Jack wore a toga, ate Roman food, played Roman games, did Roman crafts, and at the end the four different classes battled in out in Chariot Races. It was a great end to an already good week.

Also..check out the picture of Mike being Police Dog bait..pretty funny.
